The only place where prices approaching ‘northern’ prices are seen, are at Kaka Point and potentially some areas of Lawrence. Lifestyle and view properties can be found throughout Clutha Country with subdivision developments dotted around the region, particularly on the coast and south of the Taieri River Mouth.

The rental market is also good value, with quality houses in Balclutha available from $180 - $250 per week, and similar if not more affordable prices in other centres.
