Kaitangata

The little town of Kaitangata, with a population of less than 800 people, is nestled on the banks of the Clutha River, 10km south of Balclutha, near the coast on one of the branches of the river's delta. Kaitangata is ideally situated to take advantage of boating, whitebaiting and fishing opportunities. The important wetland area of Lake Tuakitoto adds interest to the environment of Kaitangata.
